The following question was asked of people attending the Bret Harte Middle School Expo on Saturday, May 12: If you were given an all-expense-paid trip this summer to anywhere and were able to take any one person, where would you go and whom would you bring along? |
Roger Picklum, father of sixth-grade student: "I would bring my wife Terri, and I would like to go to the South Seas, Bali or some place like that for a month." Voltaire Valle, eighth-grade science teacher: "The place that I would go is France because they have incredibly good food and really good rock climbing. I would bring Jacques Pepin, the TV cook, because he knows French cooking, and I think it would be really great to go all over the French countryside with him and eat French food." Faith Foster, seventh-grade student: "I'd go to Jamaica, and I'd take my sick auntie. I'd go there because we both like it there and she's really sick and she really likes it there." James Saunders, custodian at Bret Harte: "I would go to France for two weeks, and I would take my mother." Michelle Levinson, sixth-grade student: "I would go to Taiwan, and I would bring my friend Aissata. I want to go to Taiwan because it's very different from the U.S., I think." Mary Hamadeh, principal of Bret Harte: "I would bring my husband and go to southern France. I'd spend the whole month there eating French food." Jose Gonzales, eighth-grade student: "I would go to Hawaii for the whole summer, and I'd take my cousin Caesar. We would surf." |
