The "Leona man" who caught the 36-1/2 pound striped bass in Lake Merritt should really be ashamed of himself! What he did is disgusting.

The venerable old fish had been enjoying the lake probably long before this "sportsman" was born the bass was enjoying his realm and was a threat to no one!

I hope the sports "fisherman" enjoyed his meal of an innocent, venerable Lake Merritt resident.
