Beautification in Dimond
On November 15 and 23, Tim Little and residents of 21X planted daffodils on both sides of the I-580 freeway entrances at Fruitvale, Champion, and along Harold. Come spring there will be lovely yellow flowers greeting motorists as they enter Dimond.'
Tim and his friends planted seven to eight thousand bulbs, overcoming hard soil, litter, and steep slopes. Keep Oakland Beautiful donated $1,000 and Ignacio De La Fuente gave $2,400 to make this project possible.
Join neighbors to remove trash in the district: Saturday, February 21, meet at Fruitvale and MacArthur.
