A Summer with Something for Everyone
From peewee soccer to ballroom dancing, the Redwood Heights Community Recreation Center has a variety of classes and activities planned for children, families, adults, and seniors this summer. Registration for adult/senior classes (Aro-bo-cise, Tai Chi, Karate, Ballet Stretch, Ballroom Dance) is ongoing, and you may begin at any time. As of this writing, there are also a few spaces remaining for Summer Escape Day Camp, as well as the Jr. High Club, Art, and Discovery camp programs. Stop by the office to register your camper.'
Day at Your Park'
On Saturday July 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., everyone is invited to the RH Rec. Center for a carnival " open house. This annual event is hosted by the children and staff of the Rec. Center's summer camp programs, and concludes with a movie at dusk. Last year's celebration was fantastic. Don't miss this year's fun.'

Picnic Success!
Redwood Heights School, RH Neighborhood Association, and Dads' Club extend a big thank you for a fun picnic in May. This was the fourth year that RHNA and RHS joined efforts to host the neighborhood/Dads' Club picnic.'
The tireless work of school and neighborhood community volunteers made the picnic possible. The RHNA board says: "It was a wonderful gathering, successful fundraising effort, and a great community builder." Check out the photos, and plan to attend next year's event.
Ice Cream Social & Neighborhood Night Out
The RHNA will host its fourth annual Ice Cream Social in conjunction with National Night Out on Tuesday, August 3. Redwood Heights neighbors will gather at Avenue Terrace Park for frozen ice cream treats and socializing. The Social begins at 6:30 pm. Last year's event included activities for kids, door prizes, and guest speakers. This year's social is sure to be a great fun, too.'
RH Baseball & Fireworks Night: A's vs LA Angels'
Saturday, July 10, 7 p.m.'
Join neighbors, families, and friends at the A's game. If you would like to help organize a tailgate party with neighbors, please contact rhna.oakland\@gmail.com. Tickets for the game are available by mail or online via PayPal at redwoodheights.org. Tickets are $25 each. Seats are at Field Level, Section 128, Row 21 and up. Fireworks to follow the game. Tickets will be distributed one to two weeks prior to the game. Don't miss this family fun event.
