Letters to the Editor |
| Dear Editor,
I wonder if you would print my thank you to two men who helped me when my car died on the Fruitvale exit ramp on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 5 p.m. One came from across the street and another stopped his van and ran over. Both men pushed my car off the bottom of the ramp to Fruitvale Ave. away from the traffic. I am very grateful to them. One gave his name as Ronnie Barron, and I never asked the other young man his name. It was unsettling to see all the lights fast approaching my car behind me on the exit, so they got me out of a bad spot. They restore my faith in the kindness of strangers. “Thank you” to both of them. Sincerely, Kinuko Oiye We definitely need and want the Metro—it's a great local paper—we appreciate all the hard work. Your past articles show unneeded bias and are out of step with your good paper and Laurel neighborhood.
